Ribera del Ebro, Spain — Aceite Artajo has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Artajo 10 Coupage brand.

Artajo 10 Coupage is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity, produced from Koroneiki, Hojiblanca, Arróniz and Picudo olives. The blend shows a green, savory character, distinguished by artichoke and chicory notes, lifted by eucalyptus aromatics and a pine-seed nuance, with bitter almond emerging on the finish.

The 2026 Gold adds to a long-running competition record for Aceite Artajo, which has earned six Gold Awards and one Silver Award at the NYIOOC. Recent results include a Gold in 2025 and 2023, a Silver in 2024 and additional Gold Awards in 2021, 2020 and 2019.

Aceite Artajo traces its history to the mid-eighteenth century in Navarra. The family’s roots in olive oil production stretch back to Tudela, where the Artajo family produced extra virgin olive oil until the 1960s, before reviving the tradition in 1998 with new plantings at Los Llanos estate and building a modern mill in 2007 to focus on early-harvest extra virgin olive oils.

Today, Aceite Artajo farms more than 200,000 olive trees across 12 varieties in the Ribera del Ebro region of Navarra. Working in one of Spain’s northernmost olive-growing areas, Aceite Artajo has sought to match cultivars to local conditions through variety trials while aiming for consistent quality in a climate marked by strong sunshine and pronounced contrasts.

In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Aceite Artajo is ranked #22 in Spain, #66 in the Northern Hemisphere and #68 Worldwide.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world's leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
