Barcelona, Spain — Agro Foods & Commerce has been awarded a Gold and a Silver at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Priordei 1789 Rojal and Priordei 1789 Arbequina brands.
Priordei 1789 Arbequina is a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil produced from Arbequina olives. Marked by ripe notes, the oil shows a tomato character and a dry-fruit nuance that carry through to a balanced finish, reflecting careful handling of fruit and processing aimed at preserving freshness and aromatic clarity.
Priordei 1789 Rojal, also of medium intensity, earned the competition’s top distinction with a Gold Award. Produced from the Rojal cultivar, Priordei 1789 Rojal joins Priordei 1789 Arbequina among the winning entries from Agro Foods & Commerce in 2026, underscoring the breadth of the producer’s work across two distinct varieties.
Agro Foods & Commerce traces its olive growing and extra virgin olive oil production through 10 generations and 232 years.
