Jaén, Spain — Aires de Jaén has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Consum brand.

Consum is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity. Marked by notes of chamomile and fresh herbs, the oil develops toward chicory and radish, finishing with a measured peppery bite that underscores its balance and freshness.

The producer has emphasized quality, work and innovation as guiding principles, citing years of accumulated know-how as essential to remaining competitive as the olive oil sector evolves.

In a 2023 Olive Oil Times report, Aires de Jaén connected its award results to sustainability initiatives designed to reduce waste and improve efficiency, describing efforts to move toward a circular economy as part of its approach to quality. Winning two Gold Awards at the 2023 NYIOOC was cited as validation of those practices and the broader production strategy.
