Northern California, United States — Apollo Olive Oil has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Apollo Mistral and a second Gold for Apollo Sierra.
Apollo Olive Oil earned the two Gold awards for a pair of blends with distinct intensity profiles. Apollo Mistral, produced at delicate intensity, is marked by fresh herb character, hints of olive leaf and a clean, lightly fruity impression suggestive of apple. Apollo Sierra, a medium-intensity blend, was also recognized, underscoring the breadth of the producer’s milling and blending approach across styles.
Apollo Olive Oil is a small, family-run business based in northern California. Apollo Olive Oil tends its trees using organic, sustainable methods and operates a vacuum mill, a process used to help preserve flavor as well as nutrients and antioxidants.
The 2026 results add to Apollo Olive Oil’s long-running performance at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. Across its full NYIOOC history, Apollo Olive Oil has earned 18 Gold and three Silver awards, including two Gold awards in 2025, a Gold and a Silver in 2024, two Gold awards in 2023, two Gold awards in 2022, two Gold and a Silver in 2021, a Gold and a Silver in 2020, and additional Gold awards in each year from 2015 through 2019.
The two 2026 Gold awards also strengthen Apollo Olive Oil’s standing in the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, where Apollo Olive Oil is ranked #12 in the United States, #26 in the Northern Hemisphere and #27 Worldwide.
