Santo Spirito, Italy — Azienda Agricola Bisceglie Maria has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the GangaLupo brand.

GangaLupo is a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil made from Coratina olives. Marked by herbaceous aromas, the oil shows a savory green character with artichoke and tomato leaf, rounded by walnut notes that lend depth through the finish.

Azienda Agricola Bisceglie Maria produces Coratina in 15 hectares of olive groves, reaching about 90 to 100 tons per year. In 2017, Girone’s family decided to invest in the direct transformation of the olives into oil, focusing on selecting the best local mill and an excellent cold pressing process to bottle the highest quality GangaLupo oil.

The 2026 Gold continues a consistent run at the competition for Azienda Agricola Bisceglie Maria. GangaLupo has earned eight Gold Awards and no Silver Awards at the NYIOOC overall, including Golds in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.

The NYIOOC results place Azienda Agricola Bisceglie Maria among the world’s elite extra virgin olive oil producers. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Azienda Agricola Bisceglie Maria ranks #24 in Italy, #59 in the Northern Hemisphere and #63 Worldwide.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world’s leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
