Trapani, Italy — Baglio Ingardia has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Born to be EVO brand.
Born to be EVO is a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil produced from Cerasuola and Nocellara olives. Marked by fresh herbaceous character, Born to be EVO is distinguished by notes of herbs and olive leaf, alongside hints of arugula, radish and pine seed that build toward a clean, lively finish.
Founded in the 18th century in the fertile countryside of Trapani, Baglio Ingardia continues to be guided by family stewardship. Today, Mariella and her sons, Nicola and Salvatore, carefully follow the production and bottling stages to ensure the traceability of their products, which include extra virgin olive oil, wine and beer. Sustainability and organic agriculture underpin Baglio Ingardia’s philosophy, with an emphasis on excellence in respect of the environment and family tradition.
The 2026 Gold adds to a consistent record at the World Olive Oil Competition for Baglio Ingardia, which has earned six Gold Awards overall. After securing Gold Awards each year from 2021 through 2025, the latest recognition extends Baglio Ingardia’s streak on the global stage.
The NYIOOC result also reinforces Baglio Ingardia’s standing in the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, where the producer is ranked #29 in Italy, #69 in the Northern Hemisphere and #73 Worldwide.
