Sciacca, Italy — Bonolio has been awarded two Silver Awards at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, earning recognition for the Bono Selection and Bono PDO Val Di Mazara 100% Organic brands.
Bonolio received a Silver Award in the Medium category for Bono Selection and a Silver Award in the Medium category for Bono PDO Val Di Mazara 100% Organic, a blend. The two honors add to a long-running record at the competition for the Sicilian producer, whose full NYIOOC history includes 11 Gold and 12 Silver Awards.
Bono PDO Val Di Mazara 100% Organic is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity, marked by a savory, herb-forward character, green vegetable tones and a measured peppery bite. Bono Selection, also medium in intensity, reflects the same clean, fresh profile associated with Bonolio’s work in southwestern Sicily, where careful handling is central to protecting aromatics and balance.
Founded in 1934 by the Bono family, Bonolio has grown into one of Italy’s largest producers of 100-percent organic extra virgin olive oil.
