Italy — Brezza Tirrena Italia has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Olio Presto brand.
Brezza Tirrena Italia produces Olio Presto from the Itrana cultivar. A medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil, Olio Presto is distinguished by a clean, savory character and a note of pine nuts.
Brezza Tirrena was formed in 2013, but the history of the mill goes back many years. The producer’s 200-year-old Itrana olive groves are planted high on limestone-rich terraced hills in the Ausoni and Aurunci mountains, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The 2026 Gold continues a consistent record for Brezza Tirrena Italia at the NYIOOC. Including this year’s result, Brezza Tirrena Italia has earned five Gold Awards and two Silver Awards in seven total entries, with previous distinctions in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2025.
The result places Brezza Tirrena Italia among the world’s most successful producers in the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, where Brezza Tirrena Italia is ranked #34 in Italy, #76 in the Northern Hemisphere and #78 worldwide.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world's leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
