Beit Hanan, Israel — BVS Jerusalem Olive Oil has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Sunrise Early Harvest brand.
Sunrise Early Harvest is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity. Distinguished by herbaceous notes, green almond and citrus, the oil builds toward a clean peppery sensation. Made from handpicked olives cold-pressed on harvest day, careful processing helps preserve freshness and balance.
Founded in 1928 in Beit Hanan, Jerusalem Olive Oil is a family-owned boutique producer now led by third-generation farmer Moosh Ashkenazi and his wife, Hani. The farm has built its approach around harvest-day milling and a focus on traditional, careful practices, with an emphasis on sustainable craftsmanship.
