El Cogul, Spain — Camp de Cogul has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Uoli brand.

Uoli is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity, produced from Arbequina olives. The oil is distinguished by a fresh almond character alongside ripe and green tomato notes, with a grassy edge that carries through the finish.

Camp de Cogul traces its roots to the wake of the First World War, when the Agricultural Union “Societat de Progrés” (Progress Society) was founded in 1919 in the small Catalan village of El Cogul. The trade union operated until the Spanish Civil War from 1936 to 1939. In 1950, it was permitted to reopen and later adopted the name Cooperativa Camp de Cogul.

Today, Camp de Cogul produces olive oil by natural means from Arbequina olives and emphasizes low acidity. Camp de Cogul also shares information about its work and origins through its website.

The 2026 Gold marks Camp de Cogul’s second award at the competition. Camp de Cogul’s NYIOOC record now stands at two Gold Awards, including a Gold in 2025.

The new recognition adds to Camp de Cogul’s standing in the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, where Camp de Cogul is ranked #45 in Spain, #95 in the Northern Hemisphere and #97 Worldwide.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world’s leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
