Ankara, Turkey — Celal Volkan Pekcan has been awarded a Silver at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Celal Volkan Pekcan brand.

Produced from Ayvalik olives, Celal Volkan Pekcan is an extra virgin olive oil of delicate intensity. Celal Volkan Pekcan is distinguished by fresh herbaceous aromas, green almond and arugula notes and a measured touch of black pepper on the finish, balancing brightness and restraint in a style suited to lighter applications.

Celal Volkan Pekcan produces limited quantities each year, drawing on a family tradition that spans more than 150 years. Celal Volkan Pekcan EVOO is made with meticulous attention at every stage of production, a process the producer says follows the same standards of quality and rigor practiced by previous generations. The result, according to Celal Volkan Pekcan, is an oil characterized by low acidity and high antioxidant properties, alongside a rich aroma and golden color.

The 2026 Silver adds to a growing competition record at the NYIOOC for Celal Volkan Pekcan, which has earned three awards overall, including one Gold and two Silvers. The producer previously won a Silver in 2023 and a Gold in 2022.

In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Celal Volkan Pekcan is ranked #31 in Turkey, #122 in the Northern Hemisphere and #124 Worldwide.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world's leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
