California, United States — Central Coast Family Farm has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Central Coast Family Farm Arbequina brand.
"Getting this gold award for our 2025 Harvest means so much to our entire family, for all of the hard work it takes in a season, from growing and milling the olives to getting the olive oil to the table. We have always grown our olives sustainably and in 2025 officially became Transitional to Organic by the CCOF. Participating in and winning a Gold in the NYIOOC is a huge milestone for us. Thank you!," said Karen Grosswent, Co-Owner, Grower at Central Coast Family Farm.
Central Coast Family Farm Arbequina is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity. The Arbequina selection is distinguished by fresh arugula and leafy aromatics, layered with herbal notes and a rounded walnut nuance that carries through the finish.
Central Coast Family Farm produces extra virgin olive oil from a small grove of 420 Arbequina trees on California’s Central Coast. Central Coast Family Farm grows sustainably without chemicals, focusing on soil health, water conservation and careful attention to tree and fruit quality.
The 2026 Gold adds to Central Coast Family Farm’s record at the NYIOOC. Central Coast Family Farm has earned two Gold Awards and one Silver Award overall, including a Silver in 2025 and a Gold in 2024.
The result places Central Coast Family Farm among the top-performing producers in the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, where Central Coast Family Farm is ranked #32 in the United States, #82 in the Northern Hemisphere and #84 Worldwide.
