Casablanca, Morocco — Dar Idrissi has been awarded a Silver at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Dar Idrissi brand.

Dar Idrissi is a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil made from Picholine olives. Distinguished by herbal notes, including thyme, Dar Idrissi reflects careful work in the grove and mill to preserve freshness and clarity of flavor.

Dar Idrissi was founded by Maître Ahmed Taoufik Idrissi, a retired lawyer from Casablanca, at the foot of Morocco’s Atlas Mountains. Before a reliable water source was secured, he planted olive trees and kept them alive by hand, using cisterns while digging a well. When cold mountain water finally emerged, the estate took root, establishing the foundation for a single-estate extra virgin olive oil project in Haouzia.

Today, Idrissi’s children have taken over the work, continuing the family legacy. The estate’s Haouzia extra virgin olive oil is produced as a single-estate expression of arid terroir, using a signature blend of maturities.

The NYIOOC Silver places Dar Idrissi among the world’s recognized extra virgin olive oils at the world’s leading quality contest. Dar Idrissi is included in the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world's leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
