Darmmess Social Enterprise earns two Gold Awards at 2026 NYIOOC

The Lebanese producer’s early-harvest, high-phenolic Souri oils from Ebel Es Saqi and Kawkaba terroirs were recognized among the world’s best.

Deir Mimas, Lebanon — Darmmess Social Enterprise has been awarded two Gold Awards at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Darmmess Early Harvest High Phenolic Ebel Es Saqi Terroir and Darmmess Early Harvest High Phenolic Kawkaba Terroir.

Both Gold-winning extra virgin olive oils were produced from the Souri cultivar and entered in the Medium intensity category. The award-winning profile is distinguished by the savory clarity of artichoke and fennel, reflecting an early-harvest approach centered on freshness and phenolic richness.

On its second mention, Darmmess Social Enterprise earned Gold recognition for Darmmess Early Harvest High Phenolic Ebel Es Saqi Terroir, alongside a second Gold for Darmmess Early Harvest High Phenolic Kawkaba Terroir, extending the producer’s presence among top-performing entries from Lebanon.

Born in Deir Mimas, Darmmess has received international acclaim for early-harvest, high-phenolic extra virgin olive oils recognized for quality and health benefits. Building on this success and guided by a proprietary excellence process, Darmmess offers five terroirs across southern and northern Lebanon, positioning its work around the country’s olive heritage and support for local farmers.

The 2026 results continue Darmmess Social Enterprise’s record at the competition. The producer’s full NYIOOC history now stands at three Gold Awards and no Silvers, including one Gold in 2023 and the two Gold Awards earned in 2026.

In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Darmmess Social Enterprise is ranked #4 in Lebanon, #117 in the Northern Hemisphere and #121 Worldwide.
