Šibenik, Croatia — Doktorova likarija has been awarded a Silver at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Sladunica and Krvavica from Dubravica.

Sladunica and Krvavica from Dubravica is a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil produced from Oblica and Krvavica olives. The oil is distinguished by a buttery sensation alongside artichoke and arugula, with leafy tones and a black pepper finish that underscores its balance and freshness.

Doktorova likarija is tended by Šibenik surgeon Dr. Nino Brajković and his wife, Kata Plenča, a senior nurse, who care for the garden, orchard and olive trees they inherited from their parents in addition to their daily work. Across two olive groves—one in Donje Polje and the other in Dubravice, Gornje Graovo, where Brajković is originally from—there are 130 olive trees, 90 of which are bearing fruit.

The NYIOOC Silver places Sladunica and Krvavica from Dubravica among the world’s recognized extra virgin olive oils. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Doktorova likarija ranks #55 in Croatia, #125 in the Northern Hemisphere and #129 Worldwide.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world’s leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
