Zadar, Croatia — Dolina Maslina has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Dolina Maslina Blend.
Made from Coratina, Buza and Istarska Bjelica, Dolina Maslina Blend is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity, distinguished by green almond aromatics, fresh grassiness and a lingering spice.
Dolina Maslina, which translates to Olive Valley, is a family company that revived derelict land near Zadar in 2012. On uncultivated rocky terrain, Dolina Maslina raised an olive grove of about 7,000 trees, positioning the project as part of a national agricultural heritage increasingly recognized beyond Croatia.
Dolina Maslina emphasizes its identity as a producer rather than a trader, focusing on high-quality extra virgin olive oil made with modern cold processing technology. The approach reflects a production model built around cultivating groves on challenging terrain and applying contemporary milling practices to protect freshness and preserve the oil’s sensory character.
The 2026 Gold adds to a strong competition record for Dolina Maslina at the NYIOOC. Across its full participation history, Dolina Maslina has earned three Gold Awards, including wins in 2025 and 2021.
The result places Dolina Maslina among the most successful producers in its category in the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, positioned at #34 in Croatia, #88 in the Northern Hemisphere and #91 Worldwide.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world's leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
