Novigrad, Croatia — Dom Trgovina has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Bosco Monte brand.
Bosco Monte is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity. Marked by an unripe green fruit character, the oil is distinguished by green almond and arugula notes, lifted by pink pepper aromatics and a black pepper finish.
Dom Trgovina produces Bosco Monte in Istria, near Novigrad, where 21 hectares of olive groves sit between Slovenian Istria to the north, the sea to the west, the Karst Edge (Kraški rob) to the east and the Mirna river valley to the south. From this landscape, Dom Trgovina has built a record at the NYIOOC that now stands at three Gold Awards overall, with prior Gold recognitions in 2023 and 2021.
The 2026 Gold places Bosco Monte among the world’s elite extra virgin olive oils. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Dom Trgovina is ranked #9 in Slovenia, #119 in the Northern Hemisphere and #123 Worldwide.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world's leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
