Dayton, United States — Durant Olive Mill has been awarded a Silver at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Durant Olive Mill Mission.
Durant Olive Mill Mission is a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil made from Mission olives. The Silver recognition was part of a broader showing by Durant Olive Mill, which earned four additional awards at the 2026 competition, underscoring the breadth of its portfolio across single-varietal and blended expressions.
At the 2026 NYIOOC, Durant Olive Mill also won Gold Awards for Durant Olive Mill Arbequina, produced from Arbequina olives; Durant Olive Mill Frantoio, produced from Frantoio olives; Durant Olive Mill Tuscan; and Durant Olive Mill Estate Blend. All five of Durant Olive Mill’s 2026 award-winning extra virgin olive oils were recognized in the medium-intensity category.
Based in Oregon, Durant Olive Mill cultivates seven hectares of olive trees and operates as the state’s only commercial mill. Paul Durant, a certified master miller, oversees production with a focus on maintaining quality at each stage of the process.
The 2026 results add to a long-running record at the competition. Across its full NYIOOC history, Durant Olive Mill has earned 37 awards, including 27 Golds and 10 Silvers. In recent years, Durant Olive Mill has continued to post multiple-award performances, with five awards in 2025 (four Golds and one Silver), three awards in 2024 (two Golds and one Silver), four awards in 2023 (three Golds and one Silver) and four awards in each of 2022 and 2021 (three Golds and one Silver in both years). Durant Olive Mill also collected four awards in 2020 (two Golds and two Silvers), followed by additional honors in earlier editions of the competition, including a Gold in 2019, three Golds in 2018, three awards in 2017 (two Golds and one Silver) and a Silver in 2016.
