Crotone, Italy — Enotre has been awarded a Silver at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Enotre Deciso.
Enotre Deciso is an extra virgin olive oil of delicate intensity, distinguished by a clean, nutty character that recalls pine nuts. Careful attention from grove to mill preserves the oil’s balance and freshness, resulting in a light profile intended for everyday use without overpowering foods.
From Calabria, Italy’s second-largest olive oil-producing region, Enotre produces extra virgin olive oil at the foot of the Sila Crotonese mountains. Enotre’s agricultural enterprise continues the oil production of the Pollizzi family, carrying forward its tradition and passion for olive cultivation in southern Italy.
In a recent Olive Oil Times report on the Calabrian producer’s approach to production, Enotre shared how blending decisions and agronomic choices are shaped by the realities of modern farming and shifting conditions in the region, while also pointing to the growing role of direct engagement with consumers through farm visits and hospitality.
The 2026 Silver adds to Enotre’s established record at the NYIOOC. Enotre has earned a total of five awards, including four Gold Awards and one Silver Award, with Gold Awards previously received in 2019, 2020, 2023 and 2024.
The 2026 NYIOOC result also contributes to Enotre’s standing in the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, where Enotre is ranked #58 in Italy, #103 in the Northern Hemisphere and #105 Worldwide.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world's leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
