Eya Aouida Wins 2026 NYIOOC Gold for Jaou

The Tunisian producer earned a Gold Award for a medium Chetoui extra virgin olive oil recognized at the world’s leading quality contest.

Tunis, Tunisia — Eya Aouida has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Jaou brand.

Jaou is a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil produced from the Chetoui cultivar. The oil is distinguished by a green, savory character, with artichoke and arugula alongside fig leaf and radish, finishing with a clear black-pepper bite that underscores its structure and balance.

Eya Aouida is an independent olive oil producer in Tunisia, sourcing olives from different olive-growing areas of the country and selecting lots for quality and suitability to each harvest.
