Ayvalık, Turkey — Fayton Olive Oil has been awarded a Silver at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Fayton Ayvalık.
Fayton Olive Oil produced Fayton Ayvalık as a delicate-intensity extra virgin olive oil from the Ayvalık cultivar. The oil is distinguished by gentle herbaceous notes and floral aromatics, followed by almond and pink pepper nuances, with cocoa emerging in the finish.
Fayton traces its identity to a childhood in Ayvalık shaped by mornings scented with damp earth, games under olive trees and the quiet presence of ancestral groves. An old horse-drawn fayton resting in a garden became a symbol of simplicity, authenticity and honest labor, grounding an approach centered on respect for the land, inherited craftsmanship and natural purity.
The Silver Award places Fayton Ayvalık among this year’s recognized extra virgin olive oils and adds to Turkey’s presence at the world competition. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Fayton Olive Oil is ranked #36 in Turkey, #128 in the Northern Hemisphere and #130 Worldwide.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world's leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
