Sao Paulo, Brazil — Fazendas do Azeite Sabiá has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Azeite Sabiá Coratina.
Azeite Sabiá Coratina is an extra virgin olive oil of robust intensity. Produced exclusively from Coratina olives, Azeite Sabiá Coratina is distinguished by a green-almond freshness and notes of artichoke, lifted by red-fruit nuances and a firm black-pepper bite that lingers on the finish.
Fazendas do Azeite Sabiá is a Brazilian extra virgin olive oil producer with olive trees located in Sao Paolo and Rio Grande do Sul. The producer’s first harvest was in 2019, marking the beginning of a young but fast-developing project focused on expanding domestic production and elevating quality standards in Brazil’s emerging olive oil sector.
In 2023, Fazendas do Azeite Sabiá opened a new mill on its farm in southern Brazil, bringing processing closer to the groves and strengthening control over the steps that most influence freshness and quality. The farm now has 35,000 olive trees, providing the scale to build consistent production while continuing to refine harvesting and milling practices.
The 2026 Gold adds to a growing record at the NYIOOC for Fazendas do Azeite Sabiá. Overall, Fazendas do Azeite Sabiá has earned three Gold Awards and one Silver Award (four total), including two Golds and one Silver in 2023.
The 2026 NYIOOC Gold places Azeite Sabiá Coratina among the world’s elite extra virgin olive oils. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Fazendas do Azeite Sabiá is ranked #14 in Brazil, #38 in the Southern Hemisphere and #119 Worldwide.
