Milas, Turkey — Goldere has been awarded two Gold Awards at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Funoli Organic and Funoli Goldere brands.

Goldere earned a Gold for Funoli Organic, a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil produced from Memecik olives. Goldere also received a Gold for Funoli Goldere, a robust expression of Memecik that completed the producer’s 2026 award results.

Produced in Milas on Turkey’s Aegean coast, Funoli Organic is distinguished by ripe notes that intersect with green tomato and herbs, alongside a radish-like lift and a red pepper warmth that builds through the finish. The early harvest approach and in-house milling underpin the oils’ freshness and structure, with processing decisions oriented toward preserving aromatic clarity and balance.

Founded in 2021 by Iclal Arcak and Tolga Erkok, Goldere Ltd. produces Funoli extra virgin olive oils from olive trees native to the Aegean mountains. Goldere harvests olives early and mills the fruit in-house, with Funoli produced as a PDO-certified extra virgin olive oil.

The two Gold Awards add to Goldere’s growing record at the competition. Across its full NYIOOC history, Goldere has earned five Gold Awards and no Silvers, including two Gold Awards in 2025 and one Gold Award in 2024.

The 2026 results also strengthened Goldere’s position in the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, where the producer is ranked #7 in Turkey, #70 in the Northern Hemisphere and #73 Worldwide.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world's leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
