Baena, Spain — Hacienda De Colchado, SL has been awarded a Silver at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Legado Pico-Limón, adding to a Gold won this year by Legado Hojiblanca.
At the 2026 competition, Hacienda De Colchado, SL earned a Gold for Legado Hojiblanca, a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil made from Hojiblanca olives, and a Silver for Legado Pico-Limón, a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil produced from the Pico-Limon cultivar.
Legado Pico-Limón is distinguished by the aromatic lift of olive leaf alongside tomato and ripe apple, forming a balanced, medium-intensity profile shaped by careful fruit selection and attentive milling.
Centuries-old olive trees dominate the scenery at the Hacienda de Colchado estate, where they have been growing olive trees and producing high quality oil for more than three generations. The two 2026 awards extend a long record at the NYIOOC for Hacienda De Colchado, SL, which now stands at 15 total distinctions, including 12 Gold Awards and three Silver Awards. The producer’s recent results include one Gold in 2025, one Gold in 2024, one Silver in 2023 and one Gold in 2022, following earlier wins that include two Gold Awards in 2016.
