Messenia, Greece — Ikoyenia has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Mánamu brand.
"We are honored to accept this recognition for Manamu Olive Oil at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. Receiving a Gold Medal for the second consecutive year is deeply appreciated. This award belongs to everyone involved -- the farm management, skilled pickers, dedicated milling team, and those in marketing and sales. Their collective effort makes this possible. We are proud of this achievement and grateful for the recognition.," said Roberto Gotsis, Founder at Ikoyenia.
Mánamu is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity made from Koroneiki olives. Produced in Messenia, Mánamu is distinguished by herbaceous aromas, a touch of cinnamon and ripe apple, and a finish shaped by black pepper.
Founded in Messenia, Ikoyenia built Mánamu around a family bond captured in its name, an affectionate expression meaning “My dear.”
The 2026 Gold adds to Ikoyenia’s NYIOOC record of three total awards, comprising two Golds and one Silver. Ikoyenia previously earned a Gold in 2025 and a Silver in 2023.
The NYIOOC Gold places Mánamu among the world’s elite extra virgin olive oils. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Ikoyenia is ranked #28 in Greece, #90 in the Northern Hemisphere and #94 Worldwide.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world’s leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
