Bibbona, Italy — Il Cavallino has been awarded a Gold and a Silver at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, earning recognition for Il Cavallino Special Edition and Il Cavallino Biologico.

At the 2026 competition, Il Cavallino Special Edition received a Gold in the medium intensity category. Il Cavallino Biologico, also a medium intensity extra virgin olive oil, received a Silver and was produced from Frantoio olives.

Il Cavallino produces extra virgin olive oil in Bibbona, on the Tuscan coast south of Livorno. “I am Romina Salvadori and with the indispensable help of my family, I produce extra virgin olive oil in Bibbona, on the magnificent Tuscan coast south of Livorno,” said Romina Salvadori. “We have made extra virgin olive oil our way of life, conceiving life and its rhythms, even before considering it our job. We could not help but make extra virgin olive oil in an area with centuries-old traditions of olive growing.”

Il Cavallino Biologico is distinguished by fresh green notes of arugula and lettuce, aligning with its medium intensity profile. Il Cavallino Special Edition also earned its Gold in the medium category, underscoring the consistency Il Cavallino achieved across its 2026 entries.

The two 2026 awards add to Il Cavallino’s established record at the NYIOOC. Across its full competition history, Il Cavallino has earned a total of six awards: four Golds and two Silvers, including one Gold and one Silver in 2025, along with Gold awards in 2022 and 2021.
