Green Valley, United States — IL Fiorello has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for IL Fiorello Organic Koroneiki.
IL Fiorello earned five awards in total in 2026, with three Golds and two Silvers across a broad range of styles. Alongside the Gold for IL Fiorello Organic Koroneiki, the jury awarded Gold to French Blend (Robust) and Il Fiorello Green Vally Blend Organic (Medium). IL Fiorello also received Silver awards for IL Fiorello Moraiolo (Medium) and IL Fiorello Organic Chemlali (Medium).
IL Fiorello Organic Koroneiki is an extra virgin olive oil of robust intensity made from Koroneiki olives. The oil is distinguished by a lively herbal character, with notes that recall herbs and chicory, as well as pine seed, vanilla and a radish-like bite that lingers on the finish.
The 2026 results continue a long record for IL Fiorello at the NYIOOC. Overall, IL Fiorello has earned 13 Gold and 17 Silver awards at the competition, including a 2025 showing of one Gold and four Silvers and a 2024 haul of one Gold and three Silvers.
