Kalamata, Greece — Kalamaki has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Chriseo brand.

Kalamaki produced Chriseo as a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil made from Koroneiki olives. Marked by herbaceous aromas and floral accents, Chriseo develops into green almond notes and a focused black pepper finish.

At Chris & Olive, the work behind Chriseo began in a family grove overlooking Kalamata Bay, where century-old olive trees shape the landscape and the pace of production. The team emphasizes early harvesting of Koroneiki fruit and hands-on care of the trees, framing its approach around authenticity, sincerity, humility and quality, with close attention to the natural environment. Chris & Olive operates at Chris & Olive.

The 2026 Gold continues Kalamaki’s record at the NYIOOC, bringing the producer’s overall results to three Gold and two Silver awards. The tally includes a Gold in 2025, Silver awards in 2024 and 2023, and a Gold in 2022.

In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Kalamaki is ranked #6 in France, #75 in the Northern Hemisphere and #77 Worldwide.
