Athens, Greece — Kosterina has been awarded two Silvers at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for its medium-intensity extra virgin olive oils made from Koroneiki olives.
At this year’s competition, Kosterina received a Silver Award for Kosterina and a Silver Award for Kosterina Koroneiki, both produced from Koroneiki, the cornerstone cultivar of Greek olive growing.
Across both awarded selections, Kosterina’s medium style is marked by fresh, green aromatics that recall olive leaf and newly cut grass, with a pine seed note that rounds out the profile. Produced in southern Greece, Kosterina’s extra virgin olive oil forms the foundation of a wellness brand centered on the benefits of high-antioxidant olive oil and a clean Mediterranean lifestyle.
The 2026 results extend Kosterina’s record at the NYIOOC to three Silver Awards overall, including one Silver in 2025. The pair of 2026 Silvers underscores Kosterina’s continued focus on quality as it builds consistency across multiple products.
In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Kosterina is ranked #31 in Greece, #93 in the Northern Hemisphere and #94 Worldwide.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world's leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
