Istria, Croatia — Kristofola D.O.O has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Kristofola brand.
Kristofola is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity. Produced from Buza olives grown in Istria, the oil is distinguished by herbal tones and a layered aromatic profile, with notes that recall unripe fruit, anise and a touch of vanilla, followed by a clean peppery sensation on the finish.
Kristofola D.O.O is a family-owned company specializing in olive cultivation and olive oil production in Croatia. The company owns seven hectares of olive farms in Istria, where it grows Istrian buža and Pendolino olive varieties.
The 2026 Gold continues a consistent record of recognition for Kristofola D.O.O at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. The producer has earned eight Gold Awards overall, adding the latest accolade to a run of annual Golds from 2019 through 2025.
