Chania, Greece — Kydonakis Bros has been awarded two Silver Awards at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Early Harvest Oleum Crete Organic and Oleum Crete.

Kydonakis Bros earned both Silvers in the delicate category with Koroneiki, Greece’s most widely planted cultivar and a mainstay of Cretan olive growing. The 2026 recognition highlights a consistent approach to producing mild, well-balanced extra virgin olive oils while preserving varietal character and freshness.

Early Harvest Oleum Crete Organic is a delicate extra virgin olive oil made exclusively from Koroneiki olives. Crafted in small lots and handled to maintain its gentle profile, Early Harvest Oleum Crete Organic reflects a style that emphasizes subtle aromatics and a light, clean finish suited to everyday use. Oleum Crete, also a delicate Koroneiki extra virgin olive oil, was likewise recognized with a Silver, reinforcing Kydonakis Bros’ strength in producing refined oils within the delicate intensity range.

With extensive experience in the field, Kydonakis Bros has been devoted to producing and trading high-quality olive oil since 1983. Kydonakis Bros pays special attention to the correct processing of olives so that consumers can always enjoy the best extra virgin olive oil at the table. Kydonakis Bros has said 33 international awards confirm the quality of its work, and the two 2026 NYIOOC Silvers add to that track record on a global stage.

The 2026 results also extend Kydonakis Bros’ broader history at the competition. Across its participation, Kydonakis Bros has earned five total NYIOOC distinctions: one Gold and four Silvers, including a Silver in 2025, a Silver in 2017 and a Gold in 2015.
