Athens, Greece — LuiAnn has been awarded a Silver at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the LuiAnn Young brand.
LuiAnn Young is a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil made from Kalamata olives. The organic, early-harvest oil is distinguished by green, savory aromatics that recall fig leaf and olive leaf, layered with sage, followed by ripe olive and black olive notes that carry through the finish.
LuiAnn traces the project’s origins to a personal turning point. A life-changing diagnosis, the producer said, prompted a return to the simplicity of Mediterranean living and to the traditions tied to family ancestral groves in Greece. From those groves comes an organic, early-harvest extra virgin olive oil that LuiAnn describes as a daily foundation and reminder of strength and balance.
What began as a personal shift has grown into a broader mission rooted in heritage, education, integrity, community, authenticity, resilience, heart and purpose, according to LuiAnn. More information about LuiAnn is available on the LuiAnn website.
The NYIOOC Silver places LuiAnn among award-winning producers in the annual competition. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, LuiAnn is ranked #58 in Greece, #126 in the Northern Hemisphere and #129 Worldwide.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world's leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
