Podgorica, Montenegro — Miranovic has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Miranovic brand.
Miranovic is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity. Crafted from Frantoio, Leccino, Pendolino, Ascolana Tenera and Istarska Bjelica, with a small portion of other varieties native to the Mediterranean Basin, Miranovic is distinguished by almond aromas and a leafy chicory note, layered with bitter almond and green almond on the finish. The emphasis on hand-picking and immediate cold-pressed processing helps preserve the oil’s freshness and balance.
Miranovic has highlighted the role of cultivar selection and careful handling in shaping the final blend, acknowledging the importance of harvesting by hand and moving quickly to cold extraction to protect quality and taste.
The NYIOOC Gold places Miranovic among the world’s recognized extra virgin olive oils. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Miranovic is ranked #2 in Montenegro, #127 in the Northern Hemisphere and #129 Worldwide.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world’s leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
