Molino del Genil earns two Silvers at 2026 NYIOOC for Arbequina and Picual oils

The Spanish producer was recognized for Molino del Genil Arbequina and Molino del Genil Picual, reflecting a continued record of success at the world’s leading olive oil quality contest.

Spain — Molino del Genil has been awarded two Silvers at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Molino del Genil Arbequina and Molino del Genil Picual.

Molino del Genil earned a Silver for Molino del Genil Arbequina, a delicate-intensity extra virgin olive oil made from Arbequina olives. The oil is marked by fresh, green sensations, with leaf and lettuce notes that underscore its light profile.

Molino del Genil also received a Silver for Molino del Genil Picual, a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil produced from Picual olives, adding a second 2026 distinction to the Spanish producer’s results at the competition.

Molino del Genil produces mostly extra virgin olive oil, crushing olives from its own groves and managing the fields with a dedicated staff. The producer’s work integrates orchard management with milling, keeping production under one operation.

The 2026 results extend a substantial NYIOOC record for Molino del Genil. Across its full competition history, Molino del Genil has earned 18 awards in total, comprising 12 Gold and six Silver distinctions, including one Gold in 2025; one Gold and one Silver in 2024; one Gold and one Silver in 2023; one Gold and one Silver in 2022; two Gold in 2021; one Gold and one Silver in 2020; two Gold in 2019; one Gold in 2018; and two Gold in 2017.

In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Molino del Genil is ranked #7 in Spain, #33 in the Northern Hemisphere and #34 Worldwide.
