Jaén, Spain — Montetucci has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Montetucci Premium brand.

Montetucci Premium is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity. Crafted from Picual olives, the oil is distinguished by floral aromatics alongside fresh green tomato and crisp apple notes, with a balanced bitterness and spiciness that carries through the finish.

Montetucci produces extra virgin olive oil from its mill and olive groves in Jaén, in southern Spain’s leading olive-growing province. With olive cultivation deeply rooted in the region for generations, the landscape surrounding Montetucci’s groves is defined by expansive olive plantings alongside areas of biodiversity that shape the agricultural character of the area.

The 2026 Gold adds to Montetucci’s record at the competition, bringing the producer’s overall NYIOOC results to three Gold Awards. Montetucci previously earned Gold in 2025 and 2022.

The 2026 recognition also strengthens Montetucci’s standing in the global quality rankings. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Montetucci is ranked #43 in Spain, #90 in the Northern Hemisphere and #91 Worldwide.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world's leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
