Lisbon, Portugal — O&C Olive Company has been awarded two Silvers at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Cordovil and Ethos.
O&C Olive Company earned a 2026 Silver for Cordovil, a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil produced exclusively from the Cordovil cultivar, as well as a 2026 Silver for Ethos, a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil made from Galega olives. Across both labels, the award-winning oils are distinguished by a savory profile marked by chicory, ripe olive character and vegetable notes, a combination that reflects careful fruit selection and attentive milling aimed at preserving freshness and balance.
Ethos is a private family farm of nearly 40 hectares, with an old tradition of producing olive oil coupled with new investments in our plantation and a modern mill. Working from its base in Portugal, O&C Olive Company has pursued a strategy that pairs established local varieties with updated infrastructure, positioning Cordovil and Ethos as expressions of distinct Portuguese cultivars while competing in a global field.
The 2026 results extend O&C Olive Company’s record at the NYIOOC. With the two new Silvers, O&C Olive Company’s competition history stands at 13 total awards, including six Golds and seven Silvers. The producer’s year-by-year results include one Gold in 2025; one Gold and one Silver in 2024; one Silver in 2022; one Gold and one Silver in 2021; two Golds in 2019; one Silver in 2017; one Silver in 2016; and one Gold in 2015.
In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, O&C Olive Company’s standing reflects that sustained performance over multiple editions of the competition, as the producer has continued to place award-winning oils in successive years.
