Vodnjan, Croatia — OleaBB has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Oleum Viride Belić Rosulja.
Oleum Viride Belić Rosulja is a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil produced from the Rosulja cultivar. Marked by aromas and flavors of artichoke, arugula and tomato leaf, the oil reflects a careful approach to harvest timing and processing designed to preserve freshness and balance.
In its Istrian olive groves, OleaBB continues an annual cycle of production rooted in longstanding local traditions while adopting ecological agricultural techniques and modern technologies. Olives are handpicked at the medium ripening stage and cold-pressed within 24 hours, a method the Belić family has emphasized as central to the character and quality of Oleum Viride Belić.
The 2026 Gold adds to a consistent record at the world’s most influential olive oil quality contest. OleaBB has earned six Gold Awards in total at the NYIOOC, including one Gold each year from 2021 through 2025.
The result also strengthens OleaBB’s standing in the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, where the producer is ranked #16 in Croatia, #69 in the Northern Hemisphere and #73 Worldwide.
