Valle del Belice, Italy — Oleificio Asaro dal 1916 has been awarded a Silver at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Partanna Organic.

At the same time, Oleificio Asaro dal 1916 secured eight additional awards in 2026, earning Golds for Frankies 457 and Frankies Everyday and Silvers for Il Rustico di Casa Asaro, Paesanol Regular, Partanna Robust, Paesanol, Partanna Centenario and Partanna Mild.

Partanna Organic is a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil produced from Nocellara del Belice olives. Partanna Organic is marked by herbaceous sensations and green pepper, rounded by ripe notes that recall mature olives, a combination that reflects both the cultivar’s character and the careful selection of fruit destined for organic production.

The breadth of recognition for the Asaro portfolio at the 2026 NYIOOC extends the same Nocellara del Belice signature across several labels. Alongside Partanna Organic, the Nocellara del Belice monocultivars Paesanol Regular, Partanna Robust, Partanna Centenario and Partanna Mild each earned Silver Awards, while Frankies 457 and Frankies Everyday were each awarded Gold in the medium category.

Two additional Silver Awards went to blends: Il Rustico di Casa Asaro and Paesanol. Taken together, the nine 2026 awards highlight the consistency of Oleificio Asaro dal 1916 across both single-cultivar expressions and blended oils, with each entry recognized at medium intensity.

The fifth generation of the Asaro family harvests olives in the Valle del Belice, producing natural and organic Sicilian extra virgin olive oil and specialty foods. Operating under the Partanna name, the producer’s work has been defined by a focus on quality and continuity, with the family’s approach to cultivation and processing reflected in repeat recognition at the NYIOOC over multiple seasons.

Oleificio Asaro dal 1916’s results at the 2026 NYIOOC add to a long competition record totaling 44 awards overall: 15 Golds and 29 Silvers. In recent years, the producer earned five Silvers in 2025; two Golds and six Silvers in 2024; one Gold and five Silvers in 2023; four Golds in 2022; and a further run of Gold and Silver Awards dating back through 2021, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016 and 2015.

The 2026 performance also reinforces the producer’s standing in the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, where Oleificio Asaro dal 1916 is ranked #1 in Italy, #4 in the Northern Hemisphere and #5 Worldwide.
