Ciudad Real, Spain — Olivapalacios has been awarded two Gold Awards at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for Palacio de Los Olivos Arbequina and Palacio de los Olivos.

Olivapalacios earned Gold for Palacio de Los Olivos Arbequina, a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil produced from Arbequina olives. The oil is distinguished by delicate chamomile and fresh herbs, with green almond tones and a peppery edge that lingers alongside chicory-like bitterness.

Olivapalacios also secured a Gold Award for Palacio de los Olivos, a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil made from Picual olives. Together, the two 2026 Gold Awards extend Olivapalacios’s record at the competition to 17 distinctions overall, comprising 14 Gold and three Silver awards, including multiple Golds in 2025, 2023 and 2021.

Olivapalacios is a family business dedicated to producing and bottling high-quality extra virgin olive oil made from 100 percent Picual and Arbequina olives. The Los Palacios mill is located in Campo de Calatrava, Almagro, Ciudad Real, where 210 hectares of volcanic soil and the area’s climate shape what Olivapalacios describes as a defined character with unique nuances.

The 2026 results for Olivapalacios arrived in a year when Spanish producers collectively earned record recognition at the World Competition, as growers and millers across the country navigated drought and other extreme weather to achieve a national high in awards.

The two Gold Awards place Olivapalacios among the most recognized Spanish producers in the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, where it stands at #7 in Spain, #34 in the Northern Hemisphere and #36 Worldwide.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world's leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
