Olivello Wins 2026 NYIOOC Gold for Olivello Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Jezzine District, Lebanon — Olivello has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Olivello brand.

Olivello is a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil produced from the Souri cultivar. The oil is distinguished by fresh notes of grass and almond, followed by a clean peppery edge that lingers on the palate.

Olivello is a family-led olive oil producer based in Bnawati in the Jezzine District of South Lebanon. Olivello produces extra virgin olive oil from local Baladi olives using traditional harvesting methods combined with careful, modern milling.

Olivello hand-picks olives and places them directly in crates before cold extraction within 90 minutes of harvest to preserve freshness and quality. Olivello produces unfiltered oils, emphasizing a style that reflects the character of the land and the season alongside a focus on straightforward, high-quality production.

The 2026 NYIOOC Gold places Olivello among the year’s leading extra virgin olive oils. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Olivello is ranked #5 in Lebanon, #126 in the Northern Hemisphere and #127 Worldwide.
