Siena, Italy — Oliviera Sant'Andrea has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for OIio del Capùnto IGP Toscano Ecco!.
OIio del Capùnto IGP Toscano Ecco! is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity produced from Maurino olives. The oil is distinguished by herbaceous notes and a leafy freshness, with arugula on the palate, ripe nuances and a closing kick of red chili pepper.
Oliviera Sant’Andrea was founded in the rolling hills of Siena by Renato Giganti, who nurtured and passed on his passion for truly well-made olive oil to his sons, Enrico and Enzo, and then to the next generation. Today, the estate counts 30,000 trees across the Sienese countryside and operates a private mill with two milling lines, Alfa Laval and Pieralisi, producing Olio del Capùnto, certified Tuscan IGP and organic.
The NYIOOC Gold places OIio del Capùnto IGP Toscano Ecco! among the world's elite extra virgin olive oils. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, Oliviera Sant’Andrea is ranked #80 in Italy, #126 in the Northern Hemisphere and #130 Worldwide.
