Bajkini near Vižinada, Croatia — OPG Bajkin has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Bajkin Buza brand.
OPG Bajkin produced Bajkin Buza as a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil from the Buža cultivar. The oil is distinguished by green almond and herbaceous aromas, followed by impressions of arugula and artichoke and a black pepper finish that lingers on the palate.
OPG Bajkin is a family farm from Bajkini near Vižinada, with a story that began in the 1990s with the planting of the first olive trees. In 2013, OPG Bajkin’s focus on olive growing became a dedicated business. Today, OPG Bajkin cultivates more than 2,000 olive trees across five locations, producing premium extra virgin olive oils.
The 2026 Gold builds on OPG Bajkin’s record at the NYIOOC. Overall, OPG Bajkin has earned two Gold Awards, including one Gold in 2025.
