OPG Begić Wins Silver at 2026 NYIOOC for Begić Oblica

The Croatian producer earned a Silver Award for a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil made from the Oblica variety.

Croatia — OPG Begić has been awarded a Silver at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Begić Oblica brand.

OPG Begić produced Begić Oblica as a medium-intensity extra virgin olive oil made from Croatia’s iconic Oblica olive. The oil is distinguished by green tea aromas and a radish note that carries through on the palate.

OPG Begić is dedicated to producing high-quality extra virgin olive oil from the Oblica variety in Croatia, focusing on careful work in the grove and processing that preserves the character of the fruit.

The 2026 Silver follows OPG Begić’s earlier success at the competition. OPG Begić has now earned two NYIOOC distinctions overall, with one Gold in 2025 and the latest Silver in 2026.
