Rodaljice, Croatia — OPG Branimir Šunić has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the St. Vitus brand.

"We are proud of the gold medal for our olive oil in the 2026 season. And next year we will make even better olive oil!," said Branimir-Mirko-Vid, OPG Šunić at OPG Branimir Šunić.

St. Vitus is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity, produced from the Istrian Bjelica cultivar. St. Vitus is distinguished by herbaceous notes that recall green tomato and green pepper, lifted by radish and rounded out with ripe nuances that add depth to the finish.

The Šunić family has a long tradition in agricultural production with a special emphasis on olive cultivation. Three generations, grandfather Mirko, son Branimir, and grandson Vid, have achieved enviable results in the production of extra virgin olive oil through their joint efforts.

With the 2026 NYIOOC Gold, OPG Branimir Šunić adds another international distinction to a track record built over multiple generations, reinforcing the family’s focus on extra virgin olive oil quality.

The NYIOOC Gold places St. Vitus among the world’s elite extra virgin olive oils. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, OPG Branimir Šunić is ranked #56 in Croatia, #127 in the Northern Hemisphere and #129 Worldwide.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world’s leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
