Istria, Croatia — OPG Brčić Vilma has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Vias Oliveti brand.
Vias Oliveti is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity produced from Istrian Bjelica olives. The oil is distinguished by an unripe green character, with artichoke and fresh herbs at the forefront, rounded by almond and a peppery finish. Hand-harvesting and milling within hours are central to how OPG Brčić Vilma preserves the oil’s aromatic clarity and balance.
Founded 20 years ago in the Istrian landscape, OPG Brčić Vilma began as a small family endeavor and has grown into a farm with more than 3,000 olive trees. Working with sustainable practices, OPG Brčić Vilma continues to focus on careful autumn picking and rapid processing, tying each harvest to Istria’s long-standing olive-growing tradition. The farm also shares its work through guided tours and tastings, connecting visitors to Istrian olive culture through on-site experiences.
The 2026 Gold marks OPG Brčić Vilma’s second Gold at the NYIOOC, following a Gold award in 2025.
In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, OPG Brčić Vilma is ranked #37 in Croatia, #94 in the Northern Hemisphere and #97 Worldwide.
