OPG Jasmin Marinković Wins Silver at 2026 NYIOOC for Ol Bol
The medium-intensity Croatian extra virgin olive oil earned recognition in New York for its balance and varietal character.

Bol, Croatia — OPG Jasmin Marinković has been awarded a Silver at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Ol Bol brand.
"This season was challenging again, with high tempreatures and lack od rain. We are very happy that we have menaged to win medal again and that gives us great boost od motivation to keep trying and do even better job.," said Jasmin Marinković, Owner at OPG Jasmin Marinković.
Ol Bol is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity, produced from Coratina, Leccino, Oblica and Lastovka olives. The oil is distinguished by a fresh, unripe character alongside impressions of olive leaf and herbs, with walnut and pine seed nuances adding depth. Careful handling from harvest through extraction helps preserve the oil’s aromatic clarity and structure.
OPG Jasmin Marinković is a young family farm based in Bol on the island of Brač. The family planted its first olive trees during the war years and plans to expand the olive grove in the coming years. Ol Bol was created as an olive oil brand rooted in affection for the island’s traditional way of life and the agricultural rhythms that shape it.
The broader context of olive growing in Bol has shifted notably in recent decades. Long associated with wine production, Bol was once a significant winemaking center where the first Dalmatian wine cooperative was built in 1903. Over the last 30 years, olive cultivation has overtaken viticulture, reflecting changes in local farming priorities and the growing prominence of extra virgin olive oil across the island.
The 2026 Silver adds to OPG Jasmin Marinković’s record at the competition. Across all years, OPG Jasmin Marinković has earned one Gold and one Silver, including a Gold at the 2025 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.
