Slatine, Croatia — OPG Škrobica has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the O Olive Oil brand.
O Olive Oil is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity made from Oblica olives. The oil is distinguished by a clean, green character, shaped by artichoke and fresh herb notes, with chicory and olive leaf nuances and a measured bitterness that recalls bitter almond on the finish.
In the olive groves overlooking Split, Marjan, and the blue sea, OPG Škrobica traces its roots to Slatine on the island of Čiovo, where the Škrobica family has cultivated olives for three generations with an emphasis on care for the land and a steady, hands-on approach to farming.
The 2026 Gold adds to OPG Škrobica’s growing record at the World Competition. After earning a Silver Award in 2022, OPG Škrobica has now secured two NYIOOC honors overall: one Gold and one Silver.
The NYIOOC result also strengthens OPG Škrobica’s standing in the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, where OPG Škrobica is ranked #53 in Croatia, #124 in the Northern Hemisphere and #126 Worldwide.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world's leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
