Zadar, Croatia — OPG Šoša has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Pudarica brand.
Pudarica is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity made from Coratina and Buza olives. Pudarica is distinguished by a layered green fruitiness, with artichoke and chicory notes alongside olive leaf, rounded by almond and pine nuts.
Founded in 2003, OPG Šoša is a small family farm whose work spans olive growing and olive oil production, grape growing and wine production, and fruit growing across several parts of Zadar and the surrounding areas, including the island of Ugljan. Alongside Coratina and Buza, OPG Šoša produces olive oil from Oblica, Leccino, Pendolino, Frantoio and Picholine olives.
The 2026 NYIOOC Gold adds to OPG Šoša’s established record at the competition, where it has earned three Gold Awards and one Silver Award overall, including Gold Awards in 2025 and 2023 and a Silver Award in 2022.
The NYIOOC Gold places Pudarica among the world’s elite extra virgin olive oils. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, OPG Šoša is ranked #31 in Croatia, #87 in the Northern Hemisphere and #89 Worldwide.
