Istria, Croatia — OPG Olea Magica has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Olea Magica brand.
Olea Magica is an extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity, distinguished by a green, savory character that recalls artichoke and chicory, lifted by arugula and rounded out by a fresh note of tomato. Careful attention from grove to mill preserves the oil’s balance and clarity, resulting in a profile that carries through from aroma to finish.
OPG Olea Magica is a family farm spanning two hectares, where 550 Buža, Istarska bjelica, Rosignola, Leccino, Pendolino and Ascolana tenera olive trees are cultivated. Olea Magica bears the Istria PDO, a protected designation of origin recognized by the European Union, tying the oil to the region’s established standards and identity.
The Gold places Olea Magica among the world’s most highly regarded extra virgin olive oils. In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, OPG Olea Magica is ranked #53 in Croatia, #125 in the Northern Hemisphere and #129 Worldwide.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world’s leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
