Brač, Croatia — OPG Stefan Simić has been awarded a Gold at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for the Stefan Simić brand.
Stefan Simić is an organic extra virgin olive oil of medium intensity made from Oblica olives. Marked by a clean green-fruited character, Stefan Simić is distinguished by artichoke and olive leaf aromas alongside green almond, with pine seed and pine nuts contributing to a savory, resinous depth.
OPG Stefan Simić is a small family business on the Dalmatian island of Brač that produces organic extra virgin olive oil in small quantities. Members of the Simić family harvest the olives by hand and personally transport them to a small local mill, where the oil is produced on site under their direct supervision. OPG Stefan Simić has tied years of tradition and the local climate to careful work in the grove and at the mill to develop Stefan Simić as the family’s signature label.
The 2026 Gold continues OPG Stefan Simić’s record at the NYIOOC, bringing the producer’s competition history to two Gold Awards overall, following a Gold in 2025.
In the Olive Oil Times World Ranking, OPG Stefan Simić is ranked #35 in Croatia, #95 in the Northern Hemisphere and #97 Worldwide.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, widely regarded as the world's leading olive oil quality contest, is a trusted reference for consumers and industry professionals.
